We all have our strengths and weaknesses--clearly blogging for me falls into the latter category. I think one of the reasons I enjoy photography so much is it eliminates the need for words--an image can convey so much without caption or description.
As you may know, I find myself in New Zealand for the third time. My last trip here was 3 years ago, so to it's a bit like coming here for the first time in a lot of ways. Though I took opportunities to document my trips the last two times I was here, my photography was only in its nascency. This time around, I am finding every opportunity to experience (and re-experience) this amazing place--and to capture it photographically.
Because finding the words to describe the beauty and majesty of this country is beyond me, I've started a project that can hopefully convey it to you via imagery. The N.180.Z. project (so named for the approximate 180 days I'll be living here) is a daily photo blog where I post one singular photo per day. While these will typically be landscape photos, you may find some photos interspersed of my husband and/or colleagues who've been joining in on my adventures!
